My clients usually come to me when they are stuck and are struggling with some form of change, an unwanted experience, or they are dissatisfied with some aspect of their lives and are wanting change. Whether unexpected or self-initiated, change demands strength and resilience. I aim to foster a space where my clients develop greater self-awareness and self-compassion alongside uncovering new perspectives so that they gain the courage to step out of their comfort zones.
I am interested in understanding people and human behaviour which partly stems from my mixed heritage and childhood spent as a “third culture kid” and expat in several countries. These lived experiences and increased awareness of diversity inform my approach alongside a former 20 years in helping professions including HR and recruitment. I combine this background with evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness to help people uncover the roots of their beliefs, break patterns from the past, and start living more consciously.
I am deeply passionate about helping those who feel lost or overwhelmed and work predominantly with clients experiencing anxiety, grief, and low self-esteem. In terms of young people, I’ve supported those struggling with change, bereavement, academic stress, feelings of inadequacy, friendship challenges, anger management and emotional regulation, insomnia, navigating family dynamics and parental conflict/separation, along with the transition to university and early career. I also have a special interest in addressing the deeper and more complex work of trauma and attachment wounds which seem to be at the root of so many afflictions associated with anxiety and low self-worth. This involves acknowledging the impact of your past on your present, aside from symptomatic relief alone. Are you ready to make sense of the scattered pieces in your life and to start feeling differently? I’m here for you, to help you find your way and your voice, whatever your story is.
